May 1, 2020 We hope you and your families are doing well. As we are all spending more time at home due to social distancing guidelines and the stay-at-home order, we can use this time to build on our progress in University Park. Through the month of May, we are asking customers who are under the advisory to run cold tap water at the kitchen sink twice a day, for 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes at night. Regular water use is critical to fixing this situation because it helps the treatment build a protective coating in customers’ pipes. It is important to note that extra water use will not impact your water or sewer bills. We have waived charges for water entering impacted customers’ homes on a monthly basis. Although you are being charged for sewer use, or wastewater exiting your home, bills are capped at rates set before the advisory began. Please continue to visit WaterFactsIL.com for more information or call 877.987.2782 with questions. Together, we will resolve this situation. We remain committed to serving all our customers during this challenging time and we thank you for your ongoing patience.

May 29, 2020 Thank you for participating in the community flush by running your tap water twice a day through the month of May. As we continue into the summer months, if you are under the advisory, we encourage you to keep regularly using your tap water by running cold tap water from the kitchen sink an extra 30 minutes every day. This will help the treatment fully coat your home’s pipes and resolve this situation. By continuing to work together, we can use this momentum to build on our progress!
